In packing machines which have a filling pipe with two or more ducts a rinsing of the filling pipe with cleaning fluid may lead to only one duct being properly cleaned. In order to prevent this, an arrangement is provided on packing machines which has a coupling part (10) provided with valves with passages (16,17) which are coupled in series with respective ducts (2,3) in the filling pipe (1). The valve (19) is adapted so that it is acted on towards the closed position by the cleaning fluid flowing past and thus limits the flow through the one duct (3) so that the other duct (2) too is assured of an adequate flow for effective cleaning.

A device for cleaning a pipe filled with gas, having two or more pipelines for feeding contents and gas, to a packaging machine comprises means, a supply of cleaning fluid to the filling pipe, and a connecting piece 1 for connection to the exit end of the filling pipe.
